Who Are the Transhumanists?

The Transhumanists are a diffuse faction with varying ideologies who all ultimately believe in one thing: the future of the human race does not exist in the human form. For "humanity" to survive it will need to become an altogether different species. The machines will save us, because we will be the machines. Will you join them in taking the next step up the evolutionary ladder?

Boddy modders looking to keep up with the latest trends in cybernetic prosthetics. Walking, talking holograms interacting with the corporeal world. Rebel hackers using technology to fight for their cause. All are included under the umbrella of Transhumanists and all are pushing us forward.

A Digital future

The movement exploded after the Colossus Storms of the 2030’s. With so many societies left in tatters and society leaning heavier than ever on technology to save us from ourselves, there was new room for previously fringe ideas to flourish. As cybernetic enhancements and various medical technologies such were becoming more and more commonplace, some saw a digital form as the next logical step in keeping “humanity” alive.

Currently the hottest trend is the MESH: a cybernetic brain implant that allows users to connect their consciousnesses in to a hive mind. It is scaring a lot of people not in the know and might prove to be the key to the world’s future.
